Greeting from Waxhaw, NC. I hope you both had a relaxing and meaningful Thanksgiving holiday with your family and friends.

Woody, Mary (Woody’s wife) Deborah Carter (Jaars board member) and I will be traveling to PNG December 7th – 19th. As summer students we see what has been written in the binders or hear stories of where houses, stores and things used to be. It was interesting to see where this person used to live and how big Point Tupper really was before industry came in and took over. It will definitely serve us well next time someone comes in asking where some houses were standing before everything changed. Our picnic was a hit we had over 150 families with ties to Point Tupper registered and even more to learn more about our forgotten community. Sunday, July 3rd marked our commemorative church service for Point Tupper it was led by Lorena Forbrigger, Frances Warner and Marie Langley with a special speech from our Association president Alice Beaton for a plaque presentation in the name of Point Tupper Heritage Museum.…

SUBJECT: Revised TAG Policy Letter #2, Appointment of Unit Public Affairs Representatives (UPAR) 1. Unit Public Affairs Representatives (UPARs) will be appointed from each KSARNG unit. All leaders should understand the value of telling the story of our Soldiers and our units, and the UPAR program is the one of the best ways to accomplish this, especially as we are being asked to do more with less.…

Since I wasn't able to visit my eighth graders on our usual schedule (my teaching class had an in-class day to reconnect with each other and learn information for our teaching exam- sad face.) , I felt very happy to go visit my kids today! As I entered Ms. Fentress' room when her AI students were exiting, I realized that these kids are just like high school kids. One boy was jamming out to his music, and even rapped for his classmates. It's always funny to see how their distinct personalities intertwine with one-another to make it a friendly atmosphere.…
