Waverly is headstrong. Her mother always loves to "show her off" on how Waverly wins tournaments, and she aversions it. Until finally Waverly confronted to her mother that she needs to stop. Though when Waverly is ten-years-old, she is determined to get back at her mother. She decides to quit chess for a couple of days and wait for her mother to apologize. Still, her mother did not budge, and Waverly failed to attend a tournament. After a variety of incidents happened and later Waverly lost in chess tournaments. To conclude she stopped playing altogether at the age of fourteen. Waverly accomplished to become a child chess prodigy, but due to her stubbornness, she lost her
