Water Scarcity In Australia Case Study

Water scarcity is main issue for Australia especially for Perth metropolitan area. Currently, Perth water need is served by the Water Corporation of WA. 39 % of water source come from desalination while the rest come from ground and surface water. Most water allocation go to residential consumer with around 70 % of water consumption (Water-Corporation 2015). The proposal development plan in design guidelines and detail area plan in section environmental checklist is mention about mandatory for maintain quality of water. Some provision to maintain water quality is mandatory for future owner of residential in Perry Lakes. The residents should provide indoor efficiency such as high quality water appliances. Heritage availability in the area in this report will assess using community involvement as operational principle. In Merriam-webster dictionary Heritage could mean as anything from the past that have value in the future. In Australia context, heritage could divide into 2 types Aboriginal and non aboriginal. Heritage may recognize by community who live in the area that has value for the area. The involvement of community in development is important. Community involvement means that the community participates in the project. Community participatory could effective if the community are involved since early stage of the project and they are participate to set the objective of the project (Gaddis et al. 2010). All community members should have same right to deliver their opinion about the project so the developer could get broad information. In theoretical, participation could become research market to gauge the community opinion about the development.
