They usually ate meat and bread. They had a huge range of meat to eat. They would eat pork, lamb, bear, hedgehog, and rabbit. And they also ate fish like herring, salmon, whiting, cod, trout, and pike. They also ate shellfish which included crab, oysters, and mussels.
