In this article it talks about how water is vital in our lives and our environment, and without water there would not be life on earth. In addition, it explains that an average person uses as much as 100 gallons of water per day. Furthermore, it explains that much of the water we use is use for the outdoors. As much as 30% of the daily use of water in a household is devoted to gardening and lawn care; however, in dry climates it can reach 60%. This article stated that home landscapes consume an average of 58,000 gallons of water each year for irrigation. This article shows that landscapes need a lot of water to be maintain.
