Water Fishing Narrative

Narrative Whoosh! My brother glides by me with little effort. Watching him do well makes me think “Oh I can do that to then.” I’ve always thought I’ve had quite the talent of being astounding at things after I’ve seen someone do it right before me. But not today. I jumped into the water, put the skis on, and was holding the rope in my hands. Laying back in the water thinking “This is gonna be easy” then “Bbb RRrr” the boat was off and the only place I went was back in the water. It was just a couple weeks before my freshmen year of high school and we decided to go boating with some family friends. The whole ride to the river all my brother could talk about was how excited he was to go water skiing and how much fun it was last time he did it. So knowing me, I thought, “Since Austin was good at it so I’ll probably be better” so I smack talked him a little telling him little things like “I’m just a natural” and “I can’t help it” getting him all riled up. Once we arrived to the Mississippi River we unloaded everything and headed into the river. We were heading south bound at a nice pace when we noticed there weren’t any boats. We stopped to grab the skies and my brother jumped out wanting to go first. He got all ready and off the boat went cruising along the river for a while until he finally got tired and just let go of the handle. He went a long way and it …show more content…
But I took the congratulations anyway. Over the course of this experience, it pushed me to see if I’m really capable of doing and what I might not be the best at yet. But hey obviously I can say I can water ski now! Maybe not as good as my brother yet but

For freshwater bass fishing a Carolina-Rig is one of the utmost complicated setups for throwing soft plastic baits. Therefore, it is important to know the right gear to use and equally important how to set it up for the conditions of water an angler would be fishing in. To begin the process a crucial part is to know which type of line to spool the reel with, although this could vary depending on the conditions of the body of water being fished. For shallow along with lightly obstructed waters, a fifteen to twenty-pound test fluorocarbon or monofilament line is suitable. If fishing in deeper water or heavy grass, as well as obstructed areas with stumps not to mention trees, a thirty to forty-pound test braided line is recommended.…

I did it… I have made it across the Teklanika River and it was a close one. If I hadn’t of wandered down the side of the river to look for a more shallow spot that I could cross, I don’t know what I would’ve done. Turn back I guess. I found a more shallow part of the river about a mile down.…

The purpose of this ministerial briefing is to address the current environmental issues that lay that as a result of commercial fisheries using long-line fishing techniques and to provide information so that a policy can be developed to alter the methods used to minimize the effect on the non-targeted species in Australian waters. Issue: Long-line fishing is a technique that is exceptionally non-selective. There are high amounts of by-catch being caught and these high numbers are avoidable. The by-catch is all of the non-target species that are caught on the lines. Due to these fishing methods many species are close to extinction.…

More than once I've had to dive for cover in the green, slimy muck of a pond. I doubt I would have ever picked up the sport of fishing if I knew it required dodging golf balls, but this is the type of fishing I love. While I don't remember the first time I went fishing, I've seen pictures of my dad and me dangling a line of the pier, standing in mountain streams and side by side in the surf. Nevertheless, I cannot actually remember fishing. However, I do remember many years ago when I was invited to go with a friend and his dad on their boat, unfortunately, a late night storm blew in and much to my dismay, the trip was canceled.…
