Water Bottle Rocket Research Paper

Improved Essays
The water rocket bottle we worked on was very fun, what I leaned is that during the launch process, when you pump air into the bottle the air moves to the top while it pushes the water to the bottom. During the design process we made had to make the water bottle rocket we made it out of a regular bottle. But before we ever made the bottle rocket we had to brainstorm the ideas for the project. When we finally got down to work we had to cut another bottle in half to make the top portion of our rocket, I had to hot glue the wings on to keep them installed them on the outside of the bottle. Then we made parachute out of a ping pong ball, we had to glue yarn strings to the ping pong ball and used a tissue paper roll to the top part of the rocket.

During the Root Beer Simulation, I was assigned the role of the Retailer which means I was in the center of the supply chain. My job was to essentially guess what the customers would need four weeks into the future and order accordingly. Normally, this would be fine, however, in the simulation we did not know the other members of our chain or have any sort of prediction model. Due to the unknown of what the factory, the distributer, and the wholesaler would do this became a quite difficult process that involved a lot of backlog which caused for an increase in expenses for my part of the supply chain.…

For my Tuesdays with Morrie project, I made waves of the ocean crashing into the shore with poster board and a lot of construction paper. Boarded by construction paper, I have ten aphorisms. The idea for my project was about the time that Morrie compared himself to a small wave seeing the waves ahead of him crash along the shore, and the wave knows his time will come to crash on the shore as well. Morrie compares him to the wave realizing that his death is coming upon Morrie just like the wave will crash into shore.…

    Bottle Rocket Experiment

Discussion It can be seen from the experimental data, that the relationship between the difference in initial pressure inside the bottle rocket and the atmosphere, and the vertical height reached by the bottle rocket after 0.1 seconds, is proportional. This is quantitatively demonstrated by the high R2 value of 0.99533 of the graphed relationship, which indicates the likeness of points in a data set to an established trend; where 1 = a perfect relationship. The gradient of 0.0236 in the best fit regression line of the data, indicates that for every increase of 1 PSI in pressure inside the rocket, 0.0236 more vertical meters were travelled by the rocket in the first 0.1 seconds of its motion. This is only approximately 30% of the distance per PSI increase value of the predicted function in the hypothesis, which postulated that 0.0792m more would be covered in the first 0.1 seconds of motion per increase of 1 PSI.…

Fracking actually pollutes water so bad that it is next to impossible to purify.
