Development of Western Civilization Seminar Prep (Watchmen)
Summary:
The comic book Watchmen begins in the most dramatic way out of all the books we have read for this class this semester. The book that Alan Moore wrote starts with the murder of “The comedian”. Analysis: In this quote, the Comedian, Edward Blake, is provides his opinion on why super-villains act on so many innocent citizens. He believes that there is no motive and they don’t need one. They technically do have a motive of doing what they do because their motive is to protect the public as much as possible. In terms of superheroes and villains, without action comes to identity. This does not apply to just superheroes and villains as well. It can apply to everyday life.
