By simply scanning over the article I notice that the author prefers to use short paragraphs. There are 24 paragraphs. However, there is never more than five sentences per paragraph, and most contain only one sentence. One can assume this to make it easier to read. And perhaps this was a stylistic choice so the audience’s attention would be held longer. Andrew Lam begins the article by speaking about his own history and that is also how he chooses to close the article. The middle sections are not in the first person like the other sections were.
