The Wicomico County Health Department serves a variety of population and I have not really had an opportunity to work directly with any oppressed and discriminated group. Although I sat in one time in a session with a teenage Mexican boy and his mother two months back. From my observation, he has so much anger inside and he tends to project that to his mother at home. During the session he stated that no one would understand what it means to have Mexican parents, as he is always bullied as well as called all sorts of names. His father is in jail for DUI and he understands the implications of driving under the influence, yet he feels his father is there because they are minority.…

The fair took place September 8-16, 2017. The incubation period (the time it takes from exposure to illness) for this influenza, like the usual seasonal influenza, is 1 to 7 days; and most commonly 2 days. Therefore, it is unlikely that there will be new cases from direct exposure at the Allegan County Fair. Early treatment works best and may be especially important for people with a high risk condition.…

The state of Virginia had a total population of 8.3 million in 2010 (Census, 2010). By comparison, Harrisonburg-Rockingham County, a county within the state of Virginia, had a population of 130, 649 in 2010, a 9% increase from 2009. (Census, 2010). Although not a causal relationship, an increase in population is by far the single best predictor of violent and property crime counts (Chamil & Cochran, 2004). As a result, it can be inferred that a continuing increase in population will, if not already, result in an abundance of pressure for Harrisonburg-Rockingham County court services and justice systems.…
