General Purpose: To advocate the audience to take action against the Washington Promise Program
Specific Purpose: To convince the audience that they need to spread the word on the negative impacts of this bill in hopes they will vote no on upcoming ballets.
Thesis Statement: The Washington Promise Program should not be allowed to pass in our state.

A battle that we cannot not afford, quite literally, to last a long time. Because the more time we waste on argueing over this bill, the more opportunities we miss to come up with a solution to the real problem, our K-12 education system and how it is currently being funded. C. Solution: Instead of putting our focus on our community and technical colleges, which students, may or may not go to, instead of stirring this pot of uncertainty among how we will pay for this bill, and instead of putting the blame where it doesn’t belong, we need to put our legislative crosshairs on the problems that do exist. We can do this by telling our senators, namely senators Pollet, Zeiger, and Sells, that they should not support this bill and stop it from being enacted, before it’s too late.
Transition: These senators need to hear our opinions, because they do matter! We understand that they want to make the best decisions possible and have the right heart. But we need to let them know that their focus has been shifted onto something that will only hurt us in the long run. And it is something we cannot just stand by and
