Washington Inn-Personal Narrative

“Bye Ashley, I’ll see you next Friday!” I call to Ashley as I unlock the front door and walk into my house. I just finished babysitting, and now I have to get packed for a weekend up north. We are having a family dinner at Washington Inn, in Shawano. After dinner we will be going to Suring, to spend the night at my dads trailer, which is also our old house. I set down my babysitting bags and walk into my room to begin packing for the long weekend ahead, blasting Lynyrd Skynyrd through my speaker as I go.
I grab a new bag from my closet and begin throwing random clothes for the weekend into it. “Alli? Are you in here?” I hear my dads voice through the house. “In my room!” I yell back to him. “I’m going to start packing now, and when I’m done

I glare and stick my tongue out at her. “What?” I asked. She pulled an envelope out of her purse, and 3 tickets out of that envelope. She held the tickets up for me to see. “I’m going to see Lynyrd Skynyrd. Me, Uncle and Shy, tomorrow.” I smiled, though on the inside I was jealous. Lynyrd Skynyrd is MY favorite band, and I can´t go. It’s the band I have been wanting to see live forever. She slid the envelope across the table. I looked inside, and found 2 more tickets. I couldn´t believe what I was seeing. I looked up to my aunt, my mouth wide open. “And you are coming with …show more content…
What can I get you to drink?” I heard our waitress ask. Tears were still pouring down my face, so I didn’t come out of hiding. ¨I would like a pepsi, and she would like a lemonade.¨ I looked up and saw my aunt motioning to me. ¨We just surprised her with concert tickets.¨ My aunt explained to the waitress after she asked everyone else what they would like to drink. She smiled and said, ¨I’ll be right back with your drinks.¨
After a few more minutes of hiding in dads shirt, our drinks came, and soon after that our food. The night went by as a blur, and soon we were saying our goodbyes. ¨See you tomorrow.¨ I said, still numb to the world, and gave my hugs. I walked out of the resturant into the cool summer night, and walked in silence to the car. We left immediately, and soon got to the trailer. I jumped out of the car and went up on the deck, to wait for him to unlock the door.
Dad soon followed behind me, unlocking the door, and letting me in. I walked into the living room and waited for him to follow. I hugged him, and too soon, I let go.¨I love you. Goodnight.¨ I said, and walked to my room without another word. I changed into my yellow spongebob pajama pants and crawled into bed. I pulled the covers over me, and lay there in silence. As I lay there, I thought about the next day. I fell asleep with one final thought. Tomorrow is going to be a big

I was drowning out the world with the music playing through my phone, twirling the headphone cord around my finger. My hand brushed across the paper as I erased some pencil markings. I observed the text on the brightly lit screen of my chromebook, searching for the answers to the questions on my homework. I stared at the screen with a look of confusion on my face. Little did I know that the next few moments would put my hard work to some use.…

It all started when I was in about fourth grade. A group of firefighters came to my school for a presentation. I remember vividly an intimidatingly burly fire marshall telling I don’t remember much about it, except that they told each of us that we needed an escape plan in case of a fire. I remember a story my mom had told me many times about a fire that devastated her family when she was a little girl. It made me shake in my shoes.…

One of my mother’s greatest prides in life was her family. You could tell she was delighted in her close knit family by how she greeted everyone who wandered through the door. Throughout the day, countless family members would make their way in and out of my house, or what it was commonly called, Oak Street Deli. My cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents would stop by to get a second opinion of a major, or minor, life event from my mother then grab a bite to eat. When one would open the front door of our bungalow, they would be greeted with the smell of that night's dinner, my mother’s laugh bouncing off the walls, and a sense of belonging.…

“Then one day, when you least expect it, the great adventure finds you,” stated Ewan Mcgregor. With every adventure comes a story, it might not always end how you want, but adventures create memories to never forget. A couple weeks ago a dear friend of mine and I had an all day adventure, spur of the moment but a day we’ll never forget. We took a road trip to Little Rock, attempted to take a nap, went to the gym and worked-out, then somehow ended up covered in mud from head-to-toe!…

As I sit here fumbling over what to write about and thinking about all of the memorable moments in my life, One memory stands out from the rest. The first time I ever played the cello was breathtaking and I can remember the day clearly as if it was yesterday. The start was small and steady but the product of it was astonishing and important.…

I tumbled out of bed with a sense of excitement mixed with traces of anxiety. Today was the day where my team would travel to Austin, to compete for a spot in the state basketball championship. Since October, my teammates and I had worked especially hard during the season to get to where we were, and we weren’t about to stop. That morning I woke feeling the day would be invigorating yet stressful, but I would never have expected what was to really happen that fateful day. I grabbed my suitcase and rushed down the stairs into the kitchen.…
