Washington Dc Personal Statement

Intern in Washington DC is going to be an everlasting learning experience. Visiting Washington DC is exciting, it is the capital of the United States of America a place to meet influential politicians. This is a city for politicians to perform their loving career. As a political science major, I will benefit many career advancement opportunities from this program. Therefore, this program is not only allowed students to work and gives interns the opportunities to attain classes while performing or practicing the real world politics. In my Hometown University, students only do theories and never have the chance to exercise these skills. As the old saying “practice makes perfect.” I will be able to apply the knowledge gaining from the classroom and employing them to the real world. This internship will give me the occasion to interact with respected individuals who share similar career interest. And I will be able to shadow aside those important people whom might already have years experience in the field.
In addition, I will create important contacts, which can open up doors for better career possibilities. Last year, after I earned an Associate Degree in Hospitality, Tourism and Management, I missed great job advancement. As an intern, I will make mistakes and receive critics about failing projects. But, I will be able to learn from those mistakes and criticisms to move forward. Whereas, in the real world the outcome would have been different perhaps I probably get fired or write up etc. Internship is a place to learn how to make errors and learn to fix them. Thus, this program will be a learning process for me. It will help me deal with stress and anxiety. As an inexperience political science student, I may learn in class what to expect and unable to respond
