Was Pearl Harbor Bombing Justified

Although Franklin D. Roosevelt passed during the time of the bombing and Truman took control in office, he was alive long enough to realize what was happening. Roosevelt called this “the day which will live in infamy”. Roosevelt felt he wasn't keeping everyone safe if he was to drop the bomb, but Truman exceeded as he wanted to and carried out the Manhattan Project. The bomb was dropped by American’s, as response to what Pearl Harbor did and to stop what Japan’s future depended on. The usage of the bomb is still heavily debated, but its effectiveness, however violent, is undebatable. Also the Americans had a purpose and that was to stop what Japan had in mind. This bombing or war as a lot of people would call it included many successful and effective attacks from the Japanese, as well as successful moves for American forces. Indeed, one hour after Japanese Navy had commenced bombing on the American island the Japanese ambassador delivered to the American Secretary of State a formal reply to a recent American message, while this reply stated no threat or hint of war or of armed attack. Although both sides had some victorious moments, there were many long, hard spells of defeat for both the Japanese and American forces.This attack was very meaningful to the American navy fleet and strongly gained the confidence of the Japanese naval force. After their attack on Pearl Harbor, the Japanese military forces ventured on to control other areas of the world.
