How is someone suppose to choose between what is right and what everyone in town want’s to be right.
I was the new kid in town, and I was not used to the small town atmosphere. I had lived all my life in Detroit Michigan and became accustomed to the city life. Moving out here to Polk Wyoming was a bit of a change, and I could not have dreamt to be ready for. However I can’t go back in time and offer to drive home instead of my dad. Summer was winding down, so my Mom and eight year old sister Molly were going back to school shopping. I

I have always done well in school. Solid A’s and B’s student. School just came easy to me. I was assigned to sit in between Cole Peters and Sophie Turner. Only if I would have known then, what I was about to get into. Cole was the first to talk to me he said “You got an extra pencil, name’s Cole by the way”. I gave him a pencil and said I am Mark Jones, and told him I had just moved down the street to the old house next to Mr. Wallace. Cole said “That Mr. Wallace guy is a creep, don’t let him near your kids”. Cole was a tall dark haired boy, he must have been some sort of athlete he was built for it. Then there was Sophie. She was beautiful, she had long dark hair and a cute smile that would light up an entire room. She asked where I was from and I told her that I moved her from Detroit with my mom and sister. Then the bell rang and everyone sprang out of their seats. While I was getting up, Cole asked “You should come over tonight, I am throwing a crazy back to school party” I said I will be there and ran to the bus, I did not wanna miss it on my first

When I was thirteen, we moved to four hours south of Daytona Beach to Fort Lauderdale. One cold and dreary day in January, I got home from an uneventful day at school. I never would have guessed what was about to happen or thought that this would ever happen to me. I was just a quiet freshman in high school. My father sat down with my family and told us that we were about to move to Texas. I was both shocked and a little excited to move because I’ve always wanted to go south.…

Last night my dog bit me! My dad about shot him in the head with a shotgun, but I told him not to because that Bruiser, my dog, is too stupid to know what he did. He still wanted to shoot him in the face so I stood in front of Bruiser and told my dad to lower his weapon. I knew he would because I’m his baby girl and I can get anything I want, but I don’t do that because then I would be a spoiled brat and no one wants that.…

I was 23 before I was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder. As far back as Elementary school I knew that there was something “off” in the way that I processed information. That my ability to do well academically was somehow hindered by not having certain tools that I needed, tools I wasn’t even aware existed. In high school, I began to augment my deficits with strengths. Where my grades were lacking I made up for it through creativity; I excelled at art and photography.…

There is nothing greater than helping your grandparents on their large ranch in the middle of Kansas. That was what I was thinking as I hopped on my grandmother Patrice’s horse named Watermelon. My mother told me, my grandparents owned a gigantic ranch, so I instantly wanted to come out and help them and learn how to care for cattle. They had a bunch of cattle on their farm that they have to care for everyday. My mother decided to have me assist them with caring for their animals.…

My life is comprised of many other facets that I would like to further highlight. For one, I am well versed with people of different cultures. Family reunions are my favorite because I get to spend time with my Asian relatives along with my relatives of Irish decent. I find myself to be culturally adept learning about different cultures through my travels to many countries including Costa Rica, France, England, Austria, and Germany where I have had the honor and pleasure of practicing my Spanish while learning the challenging European highway systems. I enjoy traveling and am always up for an adventure.…

When I woke up the following day and realized the day before wasn’t some sick, twisted unbelievable nightmare ending with a kiss, I felt much worse. Actually I felt seriously ill. I had a girlfriend that caused my mother to fuss over what I was wearing as if this was my first day of kindergarten. This includes her attempt of the tried and true spit on the finger cleaning and hair straitening method. I didn’t have the heart to tell her what I had on wasn’t my choice, but the school's new uniform.…
