The Gallipoli Campaign was a battle in Gallipoli cove in Turkey. It lasted several months and was between the Turkeys and the Anzacs (Australian, New Zealand and more). It cost the Allies 141 000 casualties, of whom more than 44 000 died. Of the dead, 8709 were Australians and 2701 were New Zealanders.
It started with a small fleet of British and French warships took station. From there they opened a fire on Turkish the forts. They fired all day but the Turkish didn’t fire back.
