He was made to do Cassius’s bidding, blindly following him and trusting him, but that was not a crime. He trusted Cassius deeply. He trusted his friend. Had there not been trust between them, Cassius would not have been able to deceive Brutus. In reality, Cassius is more of a betrayer than Brutus. He was considered a friend to Caesar as well, but he took it upon himself to eradicate Caesar. However, he and Brutus did not share the same goals or ambitions. Cassius sought after power while Brutus sought after justice. It is true however, that Brutus believed that Caesar had ambition. He believed that this ambition could be dangerous.
