Born on November 2, 1865 in Ohio, Warren Harding was the oldest of eight children of George Harding, a farmer that became a doctor and a part owner of a local newspaper. In 1882, Harding graduated from Ohio Central College and later he got a job as a newspaper reporter. In 1898, he won the election as a Republican Ohio senator where he served until 1903. From 1904 until 1906 he was Ohio governor. In 1914, Harding was elected to the U.S. Senate and he served until his presidential inauguration in 1921. Harding was American’s 29th President and he served from 1921 until 1923 when he died of a heart attack.
