When reading both those short stories they reacted differently and similar after the war they came from. Some similarities are that they felt hopeless, detached, they didn’t know what came next, there body’s both had some physical loss after the war, and they both have a sense of loneliness. There is also differences in the story. They were different by the type of physical loss, and the overall emotion of the story. Overall, there were very similar they felt hopeless the guy from the soldier’s story they said, “There was a really strong sense that my presence was not necessary.” Then from the other country story it says, “I am utterly unable to resign myself.” Both showing sense of not having hope.
