Each person I talked to had a different way of talking about war, but recruiters are the only ones who put and exciting and flashes look at war making you think if they have ever actually seen the inside of a warzone. The best responses I have gotten from military personnel on the reality of war was from the higher ranks. In one week I sat on the phone with the baseball coach at the Air Force Academy for three hours discussing the risks and factors if I actually went to that school. He told me that he will tell me both the good and bad side of battle because the Academy wants kids who can with stand war not drop out. In comparison to what he told me then to the military recruits showing up to my door war see to be two faced or schizophrenic with two personalities. Military recruit told me I would go and travel the world exploring and meeting new people while the coach told me about the mental stability I would need to with stand war zones and what actually goes on of their. The recruits said not everybody is not military material, but tried to compare me to military personnel and telling me I was, and the coach told me what it takes to actually be a soldier in emotional, physical, and mental strength.
