He made his way down the dirt path near his home until he reached the calm, clear water. As he gulped down the refreshing water, he heard a little whine. Walter looked around, but didn’t see anybody. He brushed it off, and started to get in the cool water to swim around. Moments later, a second whine came from the edge of the forest. Wondering what all the ruckus was about, an old man came out of the cabin, and as soon as he spotted Douglas, a smile grew on his face. “Douglas! Where did you go? I’ve been looking for you for the past 6 hours! I was getting nervous that you had gotten injured.” He then saw Walter and realized that Douglas had brought along somebody else. “Who’s this? Did he help you find your way home? We must reward him then! Come inside, my wife has just made a fresh batch of scones.” Walter licked his lips and followed the old man and Douglas inside the log cabin. The man walked over to the counter and grabbed two tasty looking scones off of a tray and gave one to Douglas, and one to Walter. Walter gobbled his down in only three bites. It was the most delicious thing that he had ever tasted. “Well, I guess that now you’re home, safe and sound, I should probably get heading back to my own home. It was real nice meeting you, and I do hope that we can meet again sometime,” Walter said to Douglas. “Thank you so much for helping me find my way home, I really owe you one. I hope that we can meet up again soon too,” Douglas replied. “Good-bye for now, Douglas,” Walter said as he walked out the
