Walter Payton Turning Point

How has the death of Walter Payton affected many of people he has helped throughout his career? Born on July 25, 1954, in Columbia, Mississippi into a family of three. He grew up with his sister and older brother Eddie Payton who would help him get his football career started. Walter Payton would be given the nickname of “sweetness” that he would live up to until the day of his death. He was a star football player who played for the Chicago Bears as running back from 1975-1987. Walter Payton was a very humble person who liked to help other, he was a hard working person who pushed through whatever obstacles came across in life. This person influenced me because as a student athlete I aspire to help and contribute the community as much as Payton did in his lifetime.
