Walter Elias Disney: A Brief Life Of Walt Disney

Walter Elias Disney was born on December 5, 1901 as the fourth son to Elias and Flora Disney. As a child, Walt was raised in a strict household that was always moving from city to city. From his birthplace of Chicago Illinois, Walt moved to multiple different cities, including, Marceline, Missouri and Kansas City, Missouri, before returning to Chicago until he moved out himself. Walt’s father was a stern man, a “religious fundamentalist” that kept his children away from typical toys and made them do as much work as they could so that the family could retrieve the funds they needed (Dow 1).
