In ninteeny ninty five the price of a single park admission ticket was one dollar for adults and fifty cents for children. On opening day the park had over twenty-eight thousand coming in through the gates. The prices in admission have gone through the roof since the parks unveiling. A single admission ticket today varies from ninety-five to one hundred and nineteen dollars. As stated in one article a woman describes how she told her kids to say goodbye to everything at the park because, “...the ridiculous amount of money it takes to get into that place make it far from the happiest place on earth.” There are several other cases of families complaining of cost. Not only are the general admission tickets costly but the price of parking reaches up to seventeen dollars for one day. Along with parking comes the price of food and souvenirs in the park. The park has a policy against outside food coming into the park, which forces guests to buy food inside. Disneyland has a wide range of dining, but to eat at a single restaurant can cost fifty dollars per person. One man took to the internet to write about his three day trip for a family of four, in total the trip costed him approximately one thousand eight hundred and forty-four dollars.
