Abstract This paper, The Socially Responsible World of Disney, is composed to inform the reader on the multibillion dollar company that was founded by Walt Disney in the summer of 1923. This corporation has been a household name that has brought us hundreds of our favorite films, vacation hot spots, and cartoon characters. The Walt Disney Corporation has prominent values that have allowed them to be both lucrative and entertaining for nearly a century. This corporation relates to my business ethics class because it exemplifies social responsibility. The Walt Disney Corporation is dedicated to customer satisfaction, philanthropic missions, and rebuilding the ecosystem. Introduction Walt Disney Corporation, “Where Dreams Come True”, is an extremely popular enterprise that caters to people all over the world of many different ages, genders, and cultures. The corporation is looking to revolutionize its commitment to making dreams come true. For an example, creating new characters that cater to different cultures, body shapes, and even sexualities! In the next five years there is expected to be a large spike in profits. This is suspected because long awaited sequels are coming to theaters near us for films such as follows: Toy Story, Finding Nemo, and Star Wars. Additionally, a new theme park will be opening in Shanghai, Japan. This is suspected to be one of the largest international amusement parks in history. It will cost an estimated 5 billion dollars to begin construction (Sullivan, 2015). The Walt Disney Brand is a colossal company that has a plethora of avenues of obtaining revenue. It is commendable that they are able to maintain such a rapport of socially responsible behavior considering how vast the corporation
