Walt Disney

Walt Disney was the founder of Disneyland in California and Disney World in Florida. He was also one of the founders of Disney Studios. This interests me because ever since I was a little girl, I have always loved Disney World. Everytime my parents ask where I want to go on vacation, I always say Disney World. Walt Disney was born on December 5, 1901 in Chicago, Illinois. In 1906, Walt and his family moved to a farm in Marceline, Missouri. On this farm is where Walt Disney first gained an interest in drawing. A couple years later, Walt’s father, Elias, got sick and they had to sell the farm. The Disney family then moved to Kansas City, Missouri. In 1917, Walt and his family moved back to Chicago, Illinois. Walt Disney draws pictures for the McKinley High School newspaper and takes evening classes at Chicago Academy of Fine Arts. In 1918, Walt

In 1933, Lillian gives birth to Diane Disney and in 1936, they adopt Sharon Disney. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is released in 1937. Walt decides to collaborate with Leopold Stokowski and together they make Fantasia.
Over the next 20 years, movies like Pinocchio, Dumbo, Bambi, Cinderella, and Treasure Island. In 1954, Walt Disney contracts with ABC Television to produce a tv show in exchange for a 500,000 dollar investment in Disneyland. Disney bought 244 acres of land near Anaheim, California to be the site for Disneyland. In 1955, Disneyland opens and Mickey Mouse Club premieres on ABC. In 1965, Walt Disney purchases land for EPCOT and Magic Kingdom in Orlando, Florida. On December 15, 1966 Walt Disney passes away. This entrepreneur started both goods and services. Disney started creating merchandise for Mickey Mouse and other characters in 1930. This merchandise is considered goods. Also, he created the parks which would be services. He created Disneyland which opened in 1955. Disney came up with the plans for Disney World, but passed away before it
