Walt Disney Movies: How Adversity Can Lead To Success

Many are terrified of adversity, but sometimes it should be embraced seeing that it will allow people to find their talents, by providing the opportunity to allow one to know and reach their limits and they will find out they can do more than what they thought. Adversity is a complication that results in decision making, which you can either try harder or give up. The talents that one has are hidden until you have reached failure and choose to try harder, and the talents will be reached. In the end, if you never reached failure, you have never attempted your hardest but if you have, success will be found. An example of adversity leading to success is portrayed in the video, “Famous Failures.” This video shows that Walt Disney was fired from a newspaper company, due to a “lack of imagination.” Clearly, Walt Disney has an imagination but he had to be fired from that company to actually try harder and find his talent. “If you’ve never failed, you’ve never tried anything new,” this quote best describes Disney’s theme, and reveals how adversity helped him find his imagination. …show more content…
Richard had struggled by not having enough to eat, wearing poor clothes, becoming an alcoholic at the age of 7, and so much more. Through Richard’s time of adversity, he was eventually able to stand up for himself , get a job, and leave the town and people that caused Richard to go through adversity.
