There are many examples of Americans, but the most who show it is Walt Disney, Steve Jobs, and Oprah Winfrey. Walt Disney and Steve Jobs influences people in the entertainment, by helping people feel better and make their dreams come true. Oprah Winfrey is in the entertainment too, but she also likes to help people around the world. Disney and Jobs show that people can’t give up on their dreams when it gets hard. Winfrey shows people that only one person needs to step up and help others change the world. One man who has cherished the hearts of every age, even when he was alive, is Walt Disney. Winfrey moved to Baltimore, where she began hosting a hit television show called, People Are Talking (“Oprah Winfrey.” Bio.com. A&E Networks Television. Web. 25 Apr. 2016). After that, she was recruited by Chicago TV station to host her very own morning show. After that she finally became the host of the TV show, that most of the world knows, The Oprah Winfrey Show. It had aired for 25 seasons, from 1986 to 2011(“Oprah Winfrey.” Bio.com. A&E Networks Television. Web. 25 Apr. 2016) Back to her younger years a number of male relatives and friends of her mother sexually abused her (“Oprah Winfrey.” Bio.com. A&E Networks Television. Web. 25 Apr. 2016). She moved to Nashville to live with her father. She entered Tennessee State University in 1971, and that is where she started working in radio, and television broadcasting (“Oprah Winfrey.” Bio.com. Web. 25 Apr. 2016) When she launched her own show, it was placed on 120 channels and an audience of 10 million people, the show grossed $125 million by the end of her first year showing (“Oprah Winfrey.” Bio.com. Web. 25 Apr. 2016) Winfrey also became well known for her weight loss efforts as for her show, lost an estimated 90 pounds and competed in Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, D.C., in 1995.
