In the 1960’s, Sam Walton started up his own store in Bentonville, Arkansas and it was quite successful. He was still not entirely satisfied, he still had that dream to convert his small business into a huge enterprise to give the people a great shopping experience as if they lived in the big city. Sam also wanted to give back to the people in a way that would make them feel happy, and that way was to make his merchandise more affordable to the people. A vision that would later turn into one of the biggest money makers in the United States and international. Sam always took managers from local stores and flew them out to walk into competitor stores. He would always walk around the stores and look at what they were doing that was working well instead of what they were doing bad. Sam’s club became a huge hit; you can buy bulk foods or brand new televisions for a lower price. The vision was not over, Sam Walton started to gather his managers from Wal-Marts from all over and flying daily to new cities to discover a new generation of super

Back in the 1940’s in Newport, Arkansas, Sam Walton started franchising a Ben Franklin’s variety store, until he came up with a bright idea. Walton went on a voyage talking to suppliers throughout the small town looking for deals to make bargains so he could bring more supplies and goods into his store. Walton knew that he could perform better in his sales by passing his savings to customers and gaining more volume which leads Walton to more profit.
