Walmart Life Lessons

As a child, parents have always been known to teach their little bundles of joy to never wander off without them, whether it be in the store, a mall, park etc. They were taught to stick to their parents like glue, and if need be, always hold their hand. It causes no surprise that children aren’t known to follow these simple rules willingly. In most cases, disobedience requires a little bit of life lessons to either set the child straight, or make the parent take drastic measures for the future. This is the perfect summary as to the event that occurred at a Walmart SuperCenter when I was only 4 years old. Walmart can be an extremely hectic place during the holidays with the large crowds, long lines, and excitement of people of all ages. My mother, being a bargain shopper, wanted to finish her holiday shopping, but unfortunately had no one available to watch over us while she did Santa’s duty. So …show more content…
My weight, to my surprise, turned out to be too much for the weak exhibit and it tipped over right into the glass perfume display. It then shattered into what seemed to be a million pieces leaving the echos to be heard throughout the entire store. It seemed to be only a few seconds later, that my mom, the store manager, as well as a crowd of concerned (nosy) customers came over to see the damage a four year old could make. When I crawled out of the broken glass clutching my stuffed animal, the only question escaping from everyone's lips was, “Is she hurt?” Miraculously, I wasn’t hurt at all, thanks to whatever thick armor of clothing I was wearing. After confirming that I was unharmed, my mother grabedd me and apologized repeatedly to the store manager and offered to pay the damages; however, my mother was told not to worry about and that she was just relieved that I wasn’t
