Wal-Mart has several ethical issues and a way they can make a difference is by training their managers in away showing that profit isn’t always the most important thing. Granted that profit is very important and keeps a company running. But if you can’t keep employees happy or if you can’t treat them right you won’t have any workers to make you a profit. I feel if the managers where trained better on caring for their employees Wal-Mart would not find so many lawsuits and such a horrible turnover rate with employees. Also if Wal-Mart would spend a little more money on cost of their goods like clothing they wouldn’t need to worry about third party sweat shops or causing shops in Bangladesh being open. If companies would move away from organizations like that they would slowly die out. If one of the biggest companies out there quit using sweat shops, it would show by example that it isn’t needed to exploit the ethics and laws of other countries that don’t share our same ethical codes and laws. It isn’t right that we use third world countries to make cheap things that we sell and mark up for 100% if not 200% of the making cost. Wal-Mart does these things to make the biggest profit and that needs to be changed. Wal-Mart could give back so much more to the community by outsourcing their business to smaller businesses. What I mean by this is that they could have small local mom and pop shops making their clothes and then flipping it so it keeps the money going through the community. Not outsourcing their money to a country that is abusing their laws. If Wal-Mart bought more local foods that would let farmers keep their businesses going without having to use so many GMOs to super power their
