one of the main problems with things is how hard some of them are. sidewalks should be more absorbent. one time i saw a lady scrubbing red liquid off the sidewalk in front of an acupuncture place, and i kind of thought that they'd pulled all the needles out of someone who got up and walked out, and right as they passed through the door their body just stopped clenching and the blood splashed out. so i guess if the sidewalk was soft stains would be tougher. daria in daria has psych ward pillow walls, which i thought was cool in the …show more content…
some things are more possible, and some are less possible, and in a more distant way, good or bad, so much so (distant) as to be almost not worth discussing, and some people hew more informedly to ideologies, which. of course everyone has an ideology, i mean some people are highly-conscious about it, which is intimidating. sometimes i try to think reductively about politics, in a like undergrad poli sci way, eg what if we pretend we're all just a little group on an island, and we put someone in charge of collecting rainwater. that's politics, right? but there are just so many moving parts to practical politics, i think, or maybe actually it's very simple, and i don't know, and i always think people who do know are pretending. like at a certain point things break into more than binary oppostions. i don't mean let's all work together. the opposite, maybe? is it political to find a homeless person somewhere to sleep? is that different from trying to convince everyone to devote a portion of our collective resources to making sure we all have somewhere to
