I slightly clenched my hand and flashed a fake smile while walking past my co-workers and their gray dull cubicles. The second I was out of the office, I dropped the smile and continued the 15 minute walk to my car. A small hint of relief hit me when I entered my car. He realized my reaction wasn’t great and called me out on it. “Adrian, grow up!” he exclaimed, “ You got fired from a job you didn’t even care that much about. You’re gonna be ok. Instead of moping and feeling sorry for yourself, learn from this and start acting like an adult!” He was

I am the kind of person who wants all of my ducks in a row so when one or two are out of line, I get flustered not to mention overwhelmed to the point wanting to quit. Even though we are still reeling with the impact of what we have been hit with, we continue to encourage one another emotionally to look ahead, not dwell on the past.…

I was anxiously waiting in third base for the batter to approach the plate and smack the yarn covered ball just enough for me to make it to the home plate. As the sun hits my face I see the pitcher retract his right arm getting ready to throw it.
