I remember seeing Jennifer for the first time when I was walking into my office at pathways the mental health center. My first thought about her was she seemed to be uncomfortable and I can see that she was stressed and something was bothering her. As I clocked in one of my co-workers at the front desk had told me that Jennifer Wilkins would be my new patient. She had also said Jennifer had sat outside on the curb for about an hour before coming in. She said Jennifer seemed to be a bit distanced and deep in thought while she sat on the curb as well. As I walked back to my office I told my co- worker to sign Jennifer in and send her back. After a couple of minutes my co worker had walked back to my surprised and said Jennifer did not feel comfortable about some of the questions being asked and wanted to directly speak to me. I had then told her to send Jennifer on back. As Jennifer came in I can see that she was anxious and tired. She had dark circles under her eyes and her clothes mismatched as if she was in a rush when she put them on. I introduced myself as Dr. Liddell and smiled. She didn’t smile back. Instead she burst out in tears. She said that she didn’t know what was wrong with her and that she needed help. I made an attempt to calm her down by offering her some water. I thought of coffee first but then realized that Jennifer probably had a disorder by the way she was acting and coffee would most likely make it worst. She took the water I handed her and…
