Clarias Batrachus also known as the" Walking Catfish" originated in South Asia. They are found in the many U.S States. However, Florida has the biggest population. Walking Catfish was introduced to Florida in the 1960's. According to Columbia Education, the Walking Catfish was imported to Florida from Thailand for the aquarium trade.
