Many people can see that the lesson and the virtues impact American literature. Stories from the past and the present connect because they have similar lessons and virtues. It does not matter if the stories are from different centuries, they still share similar elements. A great example is Dr Seuss “ What am I afraid” of and “Walking Across Egypt” which shares the same lesson “everybody deserve a second chance”.Both stories also have virtues such as being polite and Kind that many people read and can relate to.
