Applying to colleges, jobs, or certain schools is a difficult process to do. Your application must be accurate and efficient. Also, you have to compete with other people that desperately want the same position as you do. However, before you can assume that you want the ‘spot’, you have to know what the requirements are and why do you feel like you're the best choice. For example, if you are an advanced eighth grader in the tri-cities region of Virginia, you are capable to apply for the governor school, which are Maggie L. Walker and Appomattox Regional. Before you received the application, you have to realize what you are applying and what do they ask for. In order to apply in this scenario, you have to have A’s or B’s and you must take Algebra I or higher. Even if you met the requirements, it is still challenging to be accepted. Fortunately, if you keep getting good grades, putting efforts in your school work, and doing tons of community services, maybe it will increase your chance of getting in. But, you must also know what are the differences and similarties of each of the schools so, you can get a better idea. Confused? Walker and Appomatax both have an adjuctication. In Maggie. L. Walker, you have to take a standarized test. The test is almost like a Pre-SAT but, slightly different. The test also includes a written prompt. If you recieved a high score on the compelling test, then you have more chances of getting in. To prepare for it, go to sleep early, eat a good breakfast, or take a SAT prep. It's your choice! For Appomatax, you must audition and be interview in the arts you chose; Literacy Arts, Technolgy, Visual Arts, Theatre Arts, Vocal Music, or Music.
