Theme: Honor the Dream; Walk with Courage, Dignity and Hope A dream is a series of thoughts, images and sensations occurring in a person's mind during sleep. Dreams are our windows to imagination, we experience things we couldn’t in reality and we fore see paths and destinies. We are able to create for ourselves a future through our very thought and ideas and our dreams can make changes and outstanding difference in this our world. It is through our dreams that our ancestors have a level of hope for the younger generation that is growing up in this modern society. In these days it is the younger generation that the world is looking up to, to make the necessary changes. Our dreams have an effect on the lives of others …show more content…
Whether it is the trends of today's community or the challenge of being the best. We cannot put down and turn against our own kind, when they need us, others must first see us as one before they become one. When we should look back in history, Rosa Parks, Medgar Evers, Mary Church Terrell, were all black activist who fought for equality. They did not only fight, but walked with courage, they never neglected their backgrounds and most of all we stuck together. It is difficult for the young people to walk with courage when we are attacked by our own peers. Bullying, fighting, cursing, these are everyday factors that are rapidly growing and smaller kids are practicing. How about we help one another, lend a helping hand, work together and remember that our ancestors are depending on us to continue to stand …show more content…
The United States of America is also known for its vast diversity of races and cultures. With this comes unity and love, but we lack this because we are unwilling to treat everybody equal. The Declaration of independence states that are men are created equal. They are humans too. We can bring awareness to people about the problems we are facing today. We can make a difference, if this was not so then Martin Luther King Jr. Wouldn’t have had the dream. So, let us the younger generation honor the dream for equal rights, walk with bravery intellect and independence. Let us carry ourselves with pride, self -respect and disciplined manner. Let's stand up for what is right even if you start out alone. Have hope that the dream has a purpose and we will fulfill it. We are the future, let's start training
