Waking Up High School

Decent Essays
Imagine waking up 6 a.m. to go spend 8 hours in school studying and memorizing materials, well by now you must know that this is reality. Students often come to school with one eye shut due to the lack of sleep and waking early in the morning. Well how about if the school was to start at 9a.m. and end at 4:30 a.m. i would totaly agree becasue students would have extra time to continuew their good night sleep thus it will give students the time to wash up and have breakfast to spend a healthy and energetic day at school.

Schools should start later in the morning due to the fact that teens can possibly get better grades and that teens were made to wake up later. Teens wouldn't just deal with stress, they would notice things that they cannot control. Every school year I went through was with familiar faces. I knew things were going to change eventually; however, I naively thought nothing was going to be different until maybe high school graduation.…

My life began to spiral downward before fifth grade began. I found myself an endless loop over summer vacation of waking up, experiencing the day as a blur, sleep, then repeat. This drove me to discover a new way to spend my day. On the television I noticed a recurring advertisement for a game called ‘World of Warcraft’. This liberty is almost often ripped away from freshman and sophomores in college who most times aren’t allowed to have cars. Although they don’t necessarily need cars due to living on campus, it still derives them of the liberty of going home as one pleases. Unlike juniors and seniors with cars who are free to leave at their own discretion.…
