Waking Oberon's Love Poion In Titania

It is not justified that Oberon put the love potion in Titania’s eyes so that he could get his revenge and steal the Indian boy. “But as the fierce vexation of a dream. But first I will release the Fairy Queen. (He applies the nectar to her eyes.) Be as thou wast wont to be. See as thou wast wont to see.” (Ⅳ,ⅰ,66-69) In this quote Oberon puts the love potion on Titania’s eyes to embarrass her and steal the Indian boy. I think he is doing this as revenge because he is mad about Titania not giving him the Indian boy so this is his way of getting back at her. Oberon had no rights over the baby, but still wants him, and even though Titania can refuse to give him up, he still wants to steal the Indian boy and embarrass her. In this quote Titania wakes up from her sleep and falls in love with Bottom because of the love potion. I think that this is what Oberon wanted as his revenge for Titania, since she would not give him the Indian boy. I think that Titania is confused and a little scared because she is overwhelmed with thoughts of love towards Bottom.
