Wakefern Reflection

Improved Essays
2016, my first full year with the customer in my new role, has been a productive one in terms of accomplishing goals at Wakefern. I’ve demonstrated growth in many areas, including winning with the customer, innovation, and driving results. These three areas were a focus of mine in 2016, and I believe I’ve executed with excellence against these priorities.
I’ve had my biggest win of 2016 with Fruit Snacks at Wakefern. The removal of the Disney licenses created a challenge at Wakefern because of the amount of SKU’s currently in distribution. I was tasked with selling in the new innovation SKU’s, and keeping the same amount of SKU’s in distribution. By leveraging RichMix, PPI, and the Innovation Projection file, I was able to convince the

By working with Mark Daley, I’ve been able to improve brand blocking on Special K and Nutrigrain, and even created sub segment blocking on Special K. All 2016/2017 has and will be added to the POG. I am currently working on a new vision of the Wholesome Snack POG that has clear separation of granola and fruit snacks, and complete vertical brand blocking. I will work with Mark Daley (GM), Todd Photis and Francisco Alberto (WF) to push this version through.
One key portion of my development goals was also obtained in 2016. I was selected to receive a ShopperMX license, and received training in the tool. ShopperMX is on the cutting edge of technology within CatMan, and I took advantage of it, with priorities like Project Fix It. I was also trained in Applied Predictive Technologies software. I look forward to using APT to track our Project Fix It results.
2016 has also been productive for me in the office. I am now a co-chair for the Philadelphia Chapter of Young Professionals. This will allow me to be more of a presence in the office, and take on a leadership role. I look forward to working with Courtney Waddle, the other YP co-chair, to improve Philly

Curanderismo has been a presence in my life since I was very young. Growing up in a small community in Northern New Mexico ensured that I was exposed to traditional medicine and alternative forms of spirituality. This class was not my first exposure to curanderismo, though many of the readings and videos helped clarify and explain many of the elements of curanderismo that had been present in my life, but had not been explained. Curanderismo is just as much of a form of cultural expression as it is a form of traditional healing. Personally, curanderismo is a link to my cultural and family history, helping to continue traditions that my family has had for generations.…
