Use visualization to access it.” You can put anything you set your mind too. It sounds cliche but it’s true. The only people stopping us is ourselves. We have to push and we might have to push for what we want but dreaming is the first step. Visualizing your goal is good motivation to complete it and I’m going to start doing just that. Sometimes I struggle with self-doubt and thinking I’m not good enough but Michael Strahan was able to overcome obstacles like that in his life and I can too. Im the only one standing in my way and if I want my dreams bad enough, I can turn them into a reality.” Now while having a dream is great, you need a plan as well. According to Michael Strahan, “Dreams don’t work unless you do.” A dream without a plan is just a dream and it’s up to us to get to where we want. I want to do big things in my life and I have all these dreams but what Michael said really resonated with me. I don't have a plan and after reading that quote, I realize it’s time to make one. I’m going to start making obtainable goals in my life to lead me to my dreams, and I’m going to be realistic with myself and actually make my dreams come

At age 11 I sit there in the living room in front of my television, listening to the popping of kernels as I anxiously snuggle up into my blanket, with my family, awaiting to watch our weekly Tuesday night show, “The Biggest Loser”. That show is how my love for health and wanting to study it started, therefore the article that most connected with me was “My Soul to Keep, My Weight to Lose” by Alice Randall. This story stood out to me because Randall does a good job capturing the many aspects that contribute to your weight journey. Everything has a meaning or at least a purpose that helps everyone work toward a goal. Like in the novel The Great Gatsby, a green light on Daisy’s dock that Gatsby always gazes upon is a great meaning to him and most of the characters in the book. It symbolizes an unattainable dream or like a hazy future that one must work toward to gain that goal. F. Scott Fitzgerald places the green light there to bring hope not just for him but for others who also read the book that what to reach a goal.…

At the beginning of Lucky’s Dream I never imagined where this book would have taken us over these past twelve weeks or so. I couldn’t have predicted the journey that lead four such uniquely different people to build a bond that bloomed into the most inspiring of friendships. From the beginning, Odysea and Jimmy had a one-of-a-kind friendship that slowly strengthened as their journey continued. It was their relationship, in my opinion that allowed for them to open their arms, minds and, more importantly, their hearts to Lucky and in the end Marion and Diane. It takes special minds, leaning abilities, and intelligences to undertake the events that began to unravel from the very first page of Lucky’s Dream.…
