Wake up everybody by teddy Pendergrass is an inspiring art to me because of what the songs message is. This song is morally true because it illustrates how it takes more than one person to change and make the world a better place. With Hatred, poverty and war so easily seen in the world the approach on how we lived in the past and present needs to change in order to see progress. Although there’s a lot of people who play a big role in the betterment of the world and many organizations who promote change it can’t stop with just those few. Everyone has a big impact on how the world evolves and by coming together, slowly but surely we will see change. The song illustrates how dangerous it …show more content…
People have taken advantage of their role in society instead of living and working to their full potential. For example in the past 15 years 40% of the teachers worldwide have been arrested for sexual abuse. Nurses fired for physical abuse on their patient and or abandonment rarely checking to see if the disabled is well and happy. And lawyers acquitted for showing their personal beliefs of white supremacy. The damage that these actions leave people mentally and physically affects them and their loved ones. These employees are important and needed by everyone. There is a demand for trustworthy leaders to do their job the right way with the right intentions. It’s beneficial to them and to the future generation. How many time have I sat in a classroom and a teacher writes the assignments on the board, sometime homework and that’s it not teaching at all. A better scenario is how many times have you went to the hospital and seen the lame remain ignored? One time too many. Whatever job you have be the best you can be and do the best you can do because the positive domino effect of it will be numerous and helpful to society “wake all the teachers time to teach a new way maybe then they’ll listen to watcha have to say, cause they’re the ones who coming up and the world is in their hands, when you teach the children teach em the very best you

Equality Within the comforts of the modernized human civilization that we all experience upon a daily basis, a person can easily forget how privileged they are to be existing in such a time of human equality and take that for-granted. However, times were not always as pleasant as they currently are; different diversities of people were not only shamed for their race, gender or ethnicity, but they were abused for it. In addition to that, abuse of this kind happened less than a hundred years ago during the times of when countries all around the world were placing the African American people under racial segregation. That being said, if things like human trafficking and racial discrimination can still be found in today’s modern world, then unfair…

There are many injustices throughout the world today, and one apparent example is the dehumanization of lower class people. Many people are exploited in order for others to make a profit. This is largely in developing countries, but it also exists in industrialized countries. The main cause of this injustice is large companies trying to make money. This injustice occurs in multiple forms, including ill treatment of naive people and discrimination of others for past mistakes.…

After reading Baldwin, City Kids, City Schools. I was shocked at how little I knew about the struggles of African Americans in the USA, resulting in my own interpersonal examination and finding out how much was I ignoring many the mentioned issues. When reading Watson, from Rethinking Schools. I found that it made very little mention of multiracial individuals, and how they fit in todays society. As a multiracial individual myself (50% Chinese, 50% Colombian) who grew up in the States, I am often asked how do I define myself?…

As I watch the film “Waiting for Superman” I notice that there would be times where I would nod my head to disapproved or approved certain arguments made about public and charter schools. The argument made was that public education is broken, which is a claim I do not support because public schools are being judged in their ability to reach certain goals without being given the proper resources to do so. The main problems in this case seem to be the inadequate way of funding schools that create socioeconomic segregation that impacts mainly minority students. I think what schools need are radical reforms that provide a more equitable allocation of resources. Other countries, like Finland, have public education with excellent results due to their…

If more is expected from students, they will learn more. Even though teachers are doing this with the best intentions, grade inflation is only depriving students off their right to proper education. Rather than just handing good grades to students, we should inspire them to work hard for it. All that futile self-esteem without any knowledge isn’t going to help anybody and its about time today’s teachers and students should accept it. Even though a little confidence is required to excel, it should be a product of your knowledge and skills.…

Teacher tenure is a form of job protection in which public school teachers receive after working one to five years on the job. Although teacher tenure protects teachers from being fired based on "just cause" reasoning, the knowing of job security creates complacency within teachers including those who underperformed. When it comes to the removal of teachers, not only is it an expensive process but also a lengthy one going on over the course of several months. Another downfall of teacher tenure is it leaves stundents without any say. Teacher tenure creates more problems than it does solving.…

Today we witness many wrong-full doings. For example, racism is still a big tension across different groups of individuals. People divide themselves depending on their cultural beliefs of sticking with their “own kind and skin color”. Social class divides the young individuals which influence education. As we all can see the obvious, the rate of graduation in education leans in favor to whites leaving the dropout rate and low grade rates to blacks, Hispanics and other races.…

Lady Gaga’s Born This Way was released on February 2011 as an outlet to empower disenfranchised communities. In this way, the song strongly correlates with sociology. However, in the beginning of the song, it can be seen to relate to anthropology or psychology: Cause you were born this way, baby Lady Gaga suggests that someone is the way they are immediately from birth and that they should embrace this fact. For example, one way of categorizing personalities is the trait of extrovertedness versus introvertedness.…

I am grateful to be able to say that I have never worked for a principal who I have viewed as a boss. The two I have worked under were inspiring leaders who worked diligently to lead the teachers on the missions they declared for the school.
