If one would go around and ask the constituents of College of Dupage about their biggest issue on campus some would complain about the cafeteria food chains, the educational policies but the one complaint you would hear the most would be parking. Every year there are about 28,000 students who enroll, meaning they all attend by either riding the bus or driving. Majority of them drive, considering the fact that they are also new drivers who enjoy their newfound freedom. Since that is the case most students can't find parking, therefore they look to other options such as taking the bus, carpooling, or even scheduling classes later on in the day. Most would say the best solution would be to build a bigger parking lot or parking garage, which is…

After participating in Date Auction and attending other VSA events such as VSOUL's potluck and UNO VSA's paper lantern night, I am motivated in connecting with and learning more about other VSA's in the Gulf Coast, and actively participating in creating a community between each VSA. The best part about being in TUVA is the amount of doors that have opened from meeting the vast Vietnamese community that exists in Louisiana alone. I envision TUVA to grow in the VSA communities in Louisiana by encouraging general members to step out of the Tulane bubble and participate in the numerous events held by VSA. I believe TUVA's presence should continue to cultivate, which means E-board members and general members should create connections with other…

Come spring of senior year and many seniors are faced with a tough decision whether they should attend community college or a four year university. When choosing between colleges people should be looking at the colleges that suit them academically, personally, and financially. In our modern society, higher education is considered a pathway to climbing the social ladder. In the article “Two years Are Better Than Four years,” Liz Addison argues that two years colleges are better than four years colleges. Addison is right by noting that two years colleges acts as a springboard for many students to begin there higher education career, but she is wrong by refusing to acknowledge that four years colleges are equally beneficial. In evaluating the American college system, I would argue that two years colleges have their benefits as well as four years colleges, but at the same time, I wouldn’t agree that two years colleges are better than four years colleges. These two different type of college systems have their benefits…
