Waiver Wait List Screening: Case Study

Rodney and his mother Tonya met at the East Center for the DD Waiver wait list screening. Mrs. Kaltz is requesting that he receives Active Support Coordinating. According to Rodney's mother he has been on a downward road since December 2016. She reports that Rodney during that time started talking loudly to himself and seems unaware. Also, she feels that Rodney needs some vocational training to lead to employment so he can keep himself stable. He currently is at the Huff Center and has been there for 4 months. Mrs. Kaltz has been told by his Psychologist that he needs medications but his mother has tried this 2 times before and she was not happy with the side effect however he has appointment on June 16th to see Dr. Patel to discuss some medication
