Children react differently to strict parenting, for example Mina’s sister doesn’t mind but she also doesn’t have such high expectations and standards to meet up to like her older sister. Pathological liars get in a place where if they told the truth everyone would find out that they lied and the liar would lose a lot of people because they have lied to so many. This pathological liar also comes from a very bad background, their mom isn’t supportive and didn’t pay very much attention to her children and neglected to make them feel loved. This real-life experience relates to Wait for Me because it shows how lying can really mess with someone and force them to live with guilt, just like Mina is. It also shows how lying can not only affect you but the people around you, making them believe that you are someone you really aren’t, or if they find out they you’re a liar, they won’t trust you and will most likely lose respect for you.
