Waipio Valley has many wild horses down there; there are many different breeds. The palominos are the hardest horses to ride. The dark caramel looking horses are not that bad to ride but the pintos can be a rough ones too. I always wanted to know if Waipio will have an adoption day and have people come and adopt these horses. The horses just stay in waipio and ruin the kalo patches (Kulia) and they are just a waste because hardly no one rides these horses. Maybe some of the ranchers will adopt them and get these horses to work. I think that the horses should be removed from Waipio and sent out in an adoption program to people on the Big Island.The horses are ruining the kalo patches and if they keep ruining it we can’t grow more.
