Situation Defenition
A story of an 8 year old child called Wadeema that got killed by her father Hamad Al Shirawee and his girl friend Alanoud Al Amri, they regurarly burn her and her litle sister Mira with irons and Cigarettes and boiled water, the father used to beat then untill wadeema died after an attack and buried in a desert place called Al Badayer. This case has affected many people , they were chocked that a dad can do such thing. They got arrested after the girls uncle discovered the murder.This situation have a nagative aspect for the society.Acoording to the national newspaper," the Emirati girl whose death shocked the nation and prompted the creation of the UAE’s new child protection law, was found buried in the Sharjah desert …show more content…
indeed, thier are many cases in UAE that include children violance and abuse but the media didnt publish thier stories in the write way, journalist main point is to ensure the right of citizens and share the important information in honesty in the media, however the exceptions in some cases in that has been published by journalists such as Wadeemas case , its not ethical to publish all the criminal information about this just for their nationality and not publishing the names on the other cases, we don’t have favoritism in UAE so each case should treated equally . if we saw it in Aristotle in ethical perspective he is concerned with excellence in general and believe that there are attributes required to allow a person to achieve the highest level of excellence such as courage, ability to feel shame, rise of justice and honesty in dealings with others.(Rojaiye,n.d), indeed, in Immanuel Kant point of view in ethical theory that acts on all people regardless of their interests or desire, that we simply do the right thing because it’s the right thing to do, however John Stuart Mill theory is that actions are right in proportion to promote all human happiness, also that its athical for the one that results in the greatest good for the greatest number. Mill focuses on consequences of actions and not on rights nor ethical sentiments.( Michael Schefczyk,N.d).its not athical to Publishe the names and images of criminal that found guilty however this thing it will benefit others, its better to harm
