Wade Chittman Reflection

Although being a bit hesitant to go with my schedule and the time of the lecture not in agreement, I was able to go and was more than pleased with the lecture. Not only did Wade Chittam physically leave his mark on the University of South Carolina at Lancaster he also left an emotional one. With the genuine claps given and all the recaps several professors and Chittam retold there wasn’t a better ambient in such return to the university he so strongly aided. With a general summary of his life taking half of the lecture and the other half reminiscing the past with stories Chittam was more than happy to be back. Dating back to 1968 when Chittman first arrived to USCL as an inexperienced but determined teacher only to prove peers wrong after getting rid of the handful of lecture flashcards before his first class. With his passion being teaching Chittam was able to see students come and go along with colleagues, but most importantly, see the university grow and follow his …show more content…
With his legacy still alive at USCL and his peers and past colleagues only proving it true I can only learn to value my time at USCL and stick with a goal and love it as Chittam would’ve told me if I was in his Chemistry class or lab. With this in mind, although at a standstill degree wise my ultimate goal has always been to become a Police Officer since birth. After watching prohibited Die Hard movies and COPS, my desire to be a cop was only furthered but my ultimate desire to help others, the biggest reason for my decision. With the medical field once a goal of mine with my decision supporting it and still a possibility in the future, I can honestly say Criminal Justice as of now and since birth is currently and has always been my goal with my dream job to become a DEA
