WELL Center Case Study

It is with great pleasure that I submit this application for the Director of Operations Role at The WELL Center. As a Drexel University graduate student I am committed to my education, and the research interest of The WELL Center are intriguing. My research interest intersect with the center’s greater mission of providing services to a vulnerable population, and my professional experience could potentially be a good resource for the burgeoning center. In my most recent professional role, I served as a HRIS Analyst at Drexel University. As an Analyst I worked closely with many of the university’s information systems and administrators. Specifically I have worked with; BannerIRT; Hyperion; WebFinacials; WebBudget; and RightNow Administrative Console. I have worked most closely with Business Partners, Talent Acquisition Staff, Budget Administrators, and Principal Investigators. As a result, I am familiar with many university’s hiring policies, personal policies, funding policies, budgeting procedures, and federal guidelines and regulations. Prior to my role as an Analyst, I served as a Personnel Representative at the Metropolitan Hospital Center in New York City. However, my knowledge bank in regards to services for vulnerable populations can be attributed to my time as a coordinator at The Door - A Center of Alternatives. At The Door, I primarily coordinated the MHPD Program. This consistent of program coordination, special program support, and crisis management. In addition to my role as a coordinator, I supported the executive leadership team. I believe this experience taught me a great deal about management, patients, as well as having compassion for vulnerable populations. If given the opportunity, I think that my skills, talent, and compassion will translate into a great a resources for the Well Center management
