It hasn't been a cake walk for Blackwell. He lost his first professional fight in 2009, due to a broken right hand and life threatening levels of dehydration. Not to mention, he was forced to jump up a class to super welterweight (154lbs). But, the following year is when he finally started to receive the recognition he deserved. In 2015, Blackwell began training with all time great Floyd Mayweather Jr. Having the provelage to train with one of the greatest boxers in history shows the potential that he has. If that isn't impressive enough, he also closed a tv deal with Comcast Sports Net CSN. The deal allows his fights to be broadcasted in over 50 million homes across the United States.
Blackwell isn't just a boxer though. His marketing power is quite astonishing as well. He has been interviewed on the red carpet along with some of the worlds brightest stars at both the 2014 and 2015 All Star, Espys Awards, Grammy Awards, Oscar Awards.
